Okay, even if you don't buy into the whole 2012 hoopla it doesn't diminish the odds of some sort of cataclysmic event occurring that could put us smack dab in the middle of Road Warrior territory even before then. All fear mongering aside "better prepared than dead" has always been my motto and nothing says "bring it on end times" quite like a well packed bug-out-bag. I'm not talking about your typical domestic fire/earthquake emergency kit that you pick up at Target here, I'm talking a machete, gun, trip wire, bowie knife hardcore them or us escape pack. If history has taught us anything its that when the chips are down, these... these civilized people, they'll eat each other. So it's time to get ahead of the curve and the first step toward surviving a disaster is preparation then it's all about surviving each other. Even if you don't share my misanthropic outlook I think you can agree that if nothing else it is worth it just for the peace of mind provided by knowing your set to bug out at a moments notice and hey its cheaper than Prozac!
